This position involves the maintenance and management of IT systems within an organization. Sometimes, it may also be referred to as "System Integrator (SI)".
Roles and responsibilities
- The main responsibilities of this position are planning, designing, installing, and maintaining server systems and internal network infrastructure within the organization to ensure efficient and stable system operation.
- Individuals in this position must possess skills in hardware usage, such as servers, operating systems (OS), and networks. Furthermore, the significance of this role also encompasses internal system development within the engineering team to ensure efficiency and responsiveness to the needs of customers and organizations appropriately.
While the position of system engineer oversees the organization's systems and networks, there are also other related sub-positions, especially in large companies. These include software testers, network administrators, system administrators, and business system analysts. Each position has different duties and responsibilities.
